Drawing on combination dies

Drawing or lengthening a piece is achieved by repeated blows and turning the stock. The combination dies will move material the fastest for this operation. The narrow section will pinch and force the material perpendicular to the die. The flat area will smooth out the hammer marks of the fullering area. Clamping a taper block on the flat area can form tapers. A 5/8-inch tapped hole on the right side of the machine is used to hold this type of tooling.
